The truth is that I never think that, except for The Departed (The Departed, 2006, Martin Scorsese), and another chance, I would enjoy a film both in its cast that includes Matt Damon, whose most memorable performance I still think, not to do it, but the reinterpretation that it did in Team America: World Police (2004, Trey Parker & Matt Stone). Already the movie trailer piqued my curiosity, but what really drove me to the theater findfoodfast was to discover that it was the film adaptation of a story by Philip K. Dick (...). The successful adaptation of George Nolfi, who also wrote the script, is to escape from an imaginary world, or fantastic, to insert his characters in a current reality, recognizable to the viewer, and used to perform an interesting criticism of one of the corrupt circles of society: the political sector. The dilemma of free will or the alienation that leads us to vote for a candidate imposed by market statistics and studies that determine the likelihood findfoodfast of a party to win power, depending on one or the other candidate, not only becomes evident in the American political landscape, but, unfortunately, in many countries of the whole world.
But the political issue is just a facade that hides the verdaero theme of the movie, and I believe also a remarkable success because Nolfi focuses all attention on the love story, which is not usual in other adaptations of Dick, but if we remember Blade Runner (1982, Ridley Scott), we can interpret findfoodfast that love is one of the mainstays of his characters to encontrarel emotional balance and stability. Furthermore, this line of argument serves to divert attention, and not on the major decisions we make in certain moments of our lives, but in small, those which do not pay attention, but they end up being crucial in our lives.
